Another successful character building June holiday programme

The theme for the 2 weeks were “Know and be safe” , Traffic Officer Lizelle Moses who surprised the children with special treat talks from the Fire Department, Stellenbosch Law Enforcement and the talk with Mr. Adolf Adams from Urban Forestry who allowed the children to touch and feel his long, slippery, scaly reptiles, the snakes.

Seargant Zenobia Siebritz and her colleagues assured children that they are the children and can come to them when they don’t feel safe. children were allowed to feel with a gun and told about it danger

To keep the day balanced and fun children were kept stimulated by making their own play doug, mask making, beading, drawing, educational obstacle course and to shake off all the cognitive development. Coach Peter Daniels and his colleagues from Department of Cultural Affairs and sport assisted with the gross motor development at Pieterlangeveldt sport field and “soek Mekaar”

To conclude the programme in honour of tata Madiba for Mandela day, children picked up papers at Pieterlangeveldt because they made use of the school’s sports field and handed it to Mr. Micheal Esau, who is one of the support workers at the school.
