ECD NQF Level 4 and Level 5 Training

Partnering for Success: Wildeganzen Foundation, Stichting Mzamohle, Klein Karoo Resource Centre, and The Early Education Centre

The Early Education Centre (TEEC) is proud to announce our partnership with the Wildeganzen Foundation, Stichting Mzamohle, and the Klein Karoo Resource Centre to offer NQF ECD Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications to unskilled educators. The NQF Levels 4 and 5 accredited trainings aim is to empower talented young individuals from various communities with the knowledge and necessary skill to be the best qualified ECD Educator in any ECD setting. Our aim is to equip talented women from various areas with the necessary skills to become qualified educators.

What does NQF ECD entail?

Whilst NQF Level 4 is an entry-level qualification and Level 5 a Higher Certificate, these qualifications teach the student to:

– Plan and prepare for Early Childhood Development.

– Facilitate and monitor the development of babies, toddlers and young children.

– Provide care and support to babies, toddlers and young children.

These qualifications give formal recognition that the holder has sufficient training to work within the early education sector. The knowledge and skills gained will allow these students to provide a safe, stimulating early learning development and education environment. In addition, students will effectively support their respective Principals or Managers to manage their ECD Partial Care Facility.

The qualification is for the duration of 10 months. The students are required to be at the training for 1 week per month and must do practical for the rest of the month at their respective ECD.

We provide our students with notes and learning materials to implement the learning programme when doing the NQF level 4 qualification.

Our changemaker students

Our 30 students hail from all areas of the Winelands and as far afield as Eersteriver and Delft.

For our NQF level 4 training, we enrolled 24 talented women from Franschoek, Cloetesville, Ida’s Valley, Kayamandi, Muldersvlei, De Nova, Klapmuts, Paarl and Wellington Area. Meanwhile, we have four dedicated and committed ladies from Eerste River, Franschhoek and Paarl for our NQF level5 certificate.

We are so proud of these ladies and are excited for them to pursue their early education journey. These qualifications will provide these ladies with opportunities and most importantly help to prepare vulnerable young children for formal schooling, which in turn will allow them to reach their full potential and hopefully produce a better social and economic return.

We encourage our students to be committed and work hard to achieve their desired results. A huge thank you to all our partners! We would like to extend our gratitude to the Stellenbosch Municipality for providing us with the Klapmuts Multi-Purpose Centre as our training venue for 2023.

TEEC is committed to empowering unskilled educators with the necessary qualifications to make a meaningful impact in children’s lives. We believe that education is the foundation for success and are proud to play a role in ensuring a brighter future for our students and the communities they serve. Please reach out to us for more information on TEEC’s training initiatives.

Food for thought!

“If we are to reach real peace in this world and if we are to carry on a real war on war, we have to begin with children; and if they grow up in their natural innocence, we won’t have to struggle, we won’t have to pass fruitless idle resolutions, but we shall go from love to love and peace to peace, until at last all the corners of the world are covered with that peace and love for which consciously and unconsciously the whole world is hungering.” – Mahatma Ghandi
